Billie Jo Lloyd

Billie Jo Lloyd, 82, went to be with her heavenly father on August 6, 2023, after a long fight with kidney and heart disease. She was born in Hitchcock, OK on September 13, 1940, to William Winter and Grace (Barnett) Winter. She was raised in Hitchcock, OK where she enjoyed playing basketball during her high school years. 

She later moved to California and married Kennith Tonkison and to this union, one child was born, Shawn Tonkinson. Billie worked and retired from Fedco where she met Charles Lloyd. The two later married and moved to Baltimore, Maryland. Together, Charles and Billie perused Billie’s dream of owning and operating a bakery. Billie later moved to Pond Creek, OK to be closer to her sister Joan Bench. 

In Oklahoma, she spent many years working at the Enid Walmart before finishing her career at the Pond Creek Library. While at the library, Billie developed and enjoyed teaching “Children’s Time”. When not at work, she enjoyed baking for the local community and spending time at the casino playing Polar Ice. Billie was a woman of Faith who loved her Lord and Savior.

Billie is survived by her son, Shawn Tonkinson of IL. Grandson; Brockton Tonkinson of IL. Granddaughter; Skylar Tonkinson of IL. Nephews; Roger (Deb) Bench of WV and Robin (Susan) Bench of OK. Great nieces; Bambi (Aaron) Sousa of NY, Abby Bench of NY, and Braley (Tyler) Hedlund of NE. Great nephew; Brayden (Heather) Bench of OK. Great great nieces; Cora Sousa and Taya Sousa of NY, and Meredith Hedlund of NE.

Billie is proceeded in death by; parents William Winter and Grace (Barnett) Winter, stepfather Howard Roberts, brother Kennith Kammerzill, and sister Joan Bench.
